BROWN BAG A SUCCESS
Clift, Rees star in “Ferris Wheel”
By Michelle Balazs
The last Brown Bag of the
year, “The Ferris Wheel,” was performed on May 22,
starring sophomores, David Clift and Victoria Rees.
The show began with a woman and a man having to ride together
on a Ferris wheel because the line was too long to ride alone.
As the Ferris wheel began, the man noticed the woman holding on
to the safety bar for dear life. They began a conversation as
to why they were riding alone. The woman rode the Ferris wheel
every year on her birthday, because “you should do something
you’re afraid of, it builds character.” The woman
convinced the man to quit smoking for a day, because that was
his fear. They both went on to tell stories from their life when
the ride came to a halt, followed by a panic attack from the woman.
The ride seemed to have broken. The man was also freaking out
a bit because he could not deal with not smoking. As they kept
talking, the man planted a kiss on the woman’s cheek to
help him stop thinking about smoking and to make her stop babbling.
They both looked into each other’s eyes and he kissed her
again. After the ride was fixed and ended, they said their goodbyes.
As the woman walked away the man paused, then ran after her.
The Brown Bag was a success, but it is not to late to see it again.
It will be featured in Experiments, the student theatre production.
So come and enjoy the show again on May 12.
