Alpha Club
Girls and Boys Seek Advice and Greater Knowledge
by Michelle Balazs
Many Christians have questions
that chapel and their bible classes cannot answer. The Alpha Club
has those answers.
Every Tuesday, Alpha meets in room 206 for the girls, and in room
229 for the boys. This club is not just another Bible class it
is a bible study. You go ask questions and you get answers. This
club helps you grow in your faith. “It helps students get
to know the Lord,” says alpha leader, Ms. Vivian Pipkin
This club is full of new Christians and old. They are not judgmental
and everyone is there to support each other. I sat in and watched
how the club worked, every person there wanted to know God more.
Everyone was there to learn.
Going through life and being a Christian is hard, but going through
it alone is much harder. In this club they bring up everyone’s
struggles and you find out you are not the only one going through
hard times. In this club you are not alone, the other club members
are there to help you and they show that God is there too.
If you do not have a church and want to grow in your faith go
to the alpha club. It is just one lunch a week and it can bring
you closer to God.
