As the holiday season rolls around, Valley students and teachers reminisce about their best Christmas memories.

“My favorite Christmas memory is waiting at the top of the stairs before we could go downstairs. My dad went down ahead to make sure that no elves stayed behind. As soon as my dad said the coast was clear, we raced downstairs and dumped open our stockings. I still hope that someday Santa will forget an elf!”

“I bought my dad this furry, girly hat that came with a scarf as a joke, once. He put it on and danced around the room batting his eyelashes and it was probably the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.”

“I got a big plastic K-Mart truck for Christmas once. Back then, it didn’t matter that it had a big K-Mart logo on the side. I thought it was cool. K-Mart, where shopping is a pleasure.”

“My favorite Christmas memory was getting a Nintendo 64. I didn’t open any of my other presents after dinner because I played Pod-Racers all day.”

“My mom woke up the entire family at 6 am once to open presents because she couldn’t wait. I can’t forget that.”
