On November 11, the varsity girls volleyball team started their CCS tournament after wrapping up a very successful regular season; they began vying for first place at the CCS championship tournament. With their total record of seventeen wins and fourteen loses, the Warriors made their way to eighth place in the WCAL standings. Unfortunately, the team lost in three games to Archbishop Mitty in the first round. No matter the results, however, the girls were very happy about their season.
This year, what stood out to the girls was how great their team chemistry was. The team really bonded and had a strong connection that really revealed itself when they played. Senior middle blocker Jessica Smith said of the team, “This year’s team was definitely my favorite. I’ve never bonded with any other team more so than I bonded with the girls this year. I’ll really miss them.” With everyone on the team being so close, the five seniors will definitely miss the good times they shared. However, expectations of next year’s team are very optimistic. With only five seniors leaving, the team, which has already bonded, hopes to show their talent and play for God again next year.
