International students have many different plans for the Christmas vacation. Valley Christian High School has around twenty international students, including myself, from different countries in Asia. Many are from Korea, China, and Taiwan.
Some students choose to travel back home or their parents may come to visit them in U.S. Some of them will travel within U.S. on their own, such as going to ski resorts. However the majority of international students will choose to return home. According to Peter Park and Chan lim Park, they have already purchased tickets to go back home in Korea. Personally, I will be spending Christmas vacation with my parents in Korea. The main reason for going back home is because students have limited time to see their families throughout the school year.
For international students, celebrating Christmas is much like people celebrate it in U.S. People exchange gifts and they go on shopping sprees to look for bargains. It is a time for catching up with friends and family members while they were away in America. Surely, it is a time for good tidings and jolly wishes.
