Spirit Week
By Kylie Gifford
Winter Ball is rapidly approaching,
and while the girls scurry off to the stores in search of the
perfect dress and the guys reluctantly make the trip to the tux
shop, ASB has something else in the works. Spirit week goes hand
in hand with Winter Homecoming and the Winter Ball. This year,
the ASB has once again planned for a fun-filled week preceding
the dance on February 5. Beginning on January 31, each class has
an opportunity to rack up spirit points and either defend or refute
the long-held tradition of senior victory. ASB has mixed some
of the old favorites with some new unique ideas to create an agenda
for the week that everyone can definitely have a little fun with.
So go all out and have a good time, because this is your last
chance this year!
Spirit Week:
· Monday: Twin Day
o Find a friend (or even two or three) and dress up in matching
outfits of your choice. But no matter what…be creative!
· Tuesday: Pajama Day
o Undoubtedly a Valley Christian favorite. Just roll right out
of bed and go to class.
· Wednesday: Salad Dressing Day
o Yes, that’s right…Salad Dressing. As strange as
it may sound, this is something to really have fun with. Pick
your favorite—Caesar, Italian, Ranch, etc.—and go
for it!
· Thursday: Theme Day
o This is your opportunity to show your class pride. See class
themes below to find out your own theme as well as your competition’s.
· Friday: Class T-Shirt Day
o Make sure to be sporting your class’s color (or a sports
jersey) to wrap up the week with some serious class spirit.
Class Themes:
· Seniors: Hollywood · Juniors: New York
· Sophomores: Miami · Freshmen: Dallas
