Letter From the Editors Just when we thought all
the hustle and bustle of the holidays was over, around rolls flirtatious
February 14. Better known as Valentine’s Day, this holiday
to some is just another lonely celebration and a good excuse for
card companies to sell cheesy Valentines. For others, however,
it is a chance to show that special someone, whether it be boyfriend/girlfriend,
parent, teacher, or just friend that you care for them and appreciate
everything they are to you. While some lucky few are blessed with
the ability to know exactly what to give their better half, most
of us are stuck desperately trying to find that perfect gift for
the perfect price. Thus, enclosed in this month’s edition
of The Warrior are several easy and seemingly well priced ideas
to let your appreciation be known. Although V-Day is most often
looked upon as more of a guy’s chance for redemption, us
girls do need to put forth an effort to let him know we care.
While jewelry and flowers are not necessarily appropriate for
“men,” cute notes or homemade crafts are always a
good idea. As the saying goes, ‘the quickest way to a guy’s
heart is through his stomach’. Dozens of cookies, cakes,
or brownies will no doubt be appreciated. A collage of all your
favorite pictures or memories will also let him know that you
enjoy being with him and the fun times you have had. Simple and
from the heart most often relays the best message and can most
often be the most memorable. So, this Valentine’s Day, let
your creativity run loose. You never know what brilliant idea
you may come up with. Just make sure to share your ideas with
the rest of us so we can also bask in your brilliance. |
