FRESHMEN
GIRLS BASKETBALL
CONTINUES TO FIGHT HARD
By Sarah Reinartz
The freshman girls basketball
team was on a hot streak during their preseason winning four out
of five games. Winning all their games except for one against
Monterey, they were “practically unstoppable” said
Morgan Allen, the Lady Warrior’s own point guard.
As for the regular season so far, the girls have faced a few disappointments
along the way. Many of the players have mixed feeling as to how
the future of the season is going to go. Sherine Zahra, the teams
forward, said, “If we play as a team and work hard on and
off the court, we will have a more successful season.” Tahnee
Jones, the Lady Warrior’s guard, commented, “I think
our team would be much better if we learned to work together better,
but we continue to get better every practice.” Rosha Zabihi’s
opinion was, “Playing is so much fun and I believe that
if we work hard and pay attention to the coach, we will have a
successful rest of the season.” So, with hard work and dedication,
the Lady Warriors are confident that the future of their season
will be a success.
