VALENTINE’S... Sweet
and Sour
By Heather Heise and Amanda Barrera
It was the day before Valentine’s
Day and I was running late to school, so I had to sprint to Scialabba’s
class but noticed someone sitting in my seat. As I opened the
door my boyfriend (who attends another school) was holding two-dozen
roses, balloons, and a card that he had made me. He said “I
love you” and gave me a hug. It was such a good day.

It was the end of the day
and I was walking to my last period. The guy that I had liked
for a long time was standing in front of the class holding a dozen-roses,
ready to ask me out. As I was walking up to receive my flowers,
I tripped over a backpack and fell in front of everyone.

When I was in second grade
I liked this boy and I made him a Valentine’ s card that
read, “If you like me check yes or no,” and had two
corresponding boxes. At recess he kicked me and threw the card
back at me… He had checked NO.
