JV Girls Swimming
Practice Makes Perfect
By Erin Parker
The JV girls have been working
hard this season towards perfection. Along with the help of Coach
Thorsrud, the girl’s quest for excellence has clearly paid
off. On Thursday, March 10, the girls competed against Archbishop
Mitty and came out victorious. Mitty was one of the strongest
competitors and the girls were proud of their success. Every victory
is hard earned as well. Each Tuesday and Thursday morning the
girls go to practice at 6 am for hardcore practicing. They meet
again after school to do another two hour-long practices. Sophomore
Joyce Yoo enjoys swim practices and meets, as well as her tough
but loving coach. “She is tough but she makes it enjoyable
and fun. She is disciplinary. She is very motivational and encourages
me to keep on swimming even after I’m tired.” Recently
on March 17, the girls were again triumphant against St. Ignatius.
Keep up the good work girls!
