The VC diving is getting closer into ending their season. This year has been a very successful season for the Valley Christian divers. They have shown both their athletic skills and dedication to the sport. Both the boys and girls team performed very well. The girls’ team did excellent at the league final held at St. Ignatius. They ended their successful season with only one loss. It was surely not an easy job to do since Saturday was the day after JSB.
Diving coach, senior Cassie Walitch said, “I’m extremely proud of my team. It was so hard to wake up early in the morning after JSB. Everyone was really tired. The league final was at San Francisco too, that made it even harder. The team worked hard though, everyone worked so hard and tried their best. I can’t ask for more effort. They gave 110%.”
Valley’s participants for CCS this year will be senior Aimee D’Hondt, Nick Neil, and sophomore Trevor Kerth. D’hondt scored 265.65 on her meet, Kerth scored 255.35, and Neil scored a 306.00 during the league finals.
