The J.V. boys volleyball closed down their season in impressive fashion, finishing in the middle of the pack in the WCAL.
A team that was consistently one of the smallest in the league overcame the size discrepancy with tremendous displays of heart and focus.
Bouncing back from a defeat against the undefeated Lancers of St. Francis, the Warriors found themselves locked in a fierce confrontation with the Irish of Sacred Heart Cathedral. The luck of the Irish was the slightest difference in the end, as Sacred Heart pulled out a three-set victory, 25-21, 23-25, 15-12.
Concluding their season with a two-game week, VC hoped to at least gain a split. Against the St. Ignatius Wildcats, the Warriors earned a two-set victory 26-24, 25-22. Unfortunately, their year came to a close with a 21-25, 25-18, 15-7 defeat at the hands of Junipero Serra, However, the guys did not let this season-ending loss dampen their spirits over a fine 4-8 season in the WCAL.
