Musical group Rascal Flatts, coming from the genre of country, is evolving to a pop sound with a country feel. This three-man band is critically acclaimed for its good feeling sound and personal lyrics, appealing to a variety of music listeners, not just country. This month the music review features the great new music from Rascal Flatts’ fourth major album.
The most recent album, Me and My Gang brings this more of a pop collection to the original country genre. The threesome had a history of success and continue leaving listeners in awe every year and their popularity grows by the minute. The group’s past albums, Feels Like Today and I Melt were instant hits! Fans across America rushed to get the CD and the nonstop repetition of lyrics sung by supporters made it a success. Me and My Gang is another great album filled with one good song after another.
2006 is another huge year for Rascal Flatts and brings much accomplishment. They have already won a Grammy for Best Country Song for “Bless the Broken Road” for 2006 and CMT Flameworthy Video Music Award for Group/Duo of the Year. (Things are looking up for them as they keep up with their last album.) Each year since 2003, they have won CMA Vocal Group of the Year. Trying to top their past success comes easy to Rascal Flatts. The song “What Hurts the Most” was already on its way up even before the release of this album on April 4, 2006. Since it has been released, the album has climbed charts and broken records. Critics rave with nothing but great reviews about the album and fans seem to agree that this is some of their best work and combines a perfect mixture of songs. This album is diverse and provides sad and sentimental, fast and upbeat, and patriotic songs. Rascal Flatts has achieved so much success in spite of the difficulty it is to keep fans in the music bussiness. It is apparent through their constant success that this group is not going anywhere anytime soon.
