“Adams and the Federalists: bringing down the man since 1987.”  Such is the motto of an up and coming musical group originating from within the halls of Valley Christian High School.  Adams and the Federalists have done a variety of musical feats, though if a label is necessary, then the typical alternative music archetype might be observed in the group.  While on the subject of the group itself, it consists of four members to-date:  Ian Perry, a senior, who is usually found behind the wheel of a saxophone or keyboard, Thomas Burns, another senior, taking the mantle of guitarist upon himself, senior Joshua Desmarais, who is described by his fellow band members as “general effect,” which effectively means he does nothing!  On a more useful note is the fourth wheel of the van, Zack Darling, taking up the mantle of bass guitar.

            As far as the band’s actual achievements go, the group won the VCHS talent show of 2005 with an original composition named, “An Original Composition,” and the group to played again at this year’s talent show.  Music and lyrics have been in the works for years, and with the end of high school and thus the brunt of many of the members’ stress and time occupation, more shall be seen of them later this year.
