HOW TO... Save the World (Or Atleast Part of It)

by Kylie Gifford and Kristin Chulick

• First and foremost: reduce, reuse, and recycle.
• As Nelly Furtado tells us…”turn of the lights”—every time you leave the room.  Unfortunately, she left out an important part; remember to turn off and unplug any appliances when you’re finished using them.
• Save some for the whales: conserve water.  For example, don’t leave the water running when you’re brushing your teeth.
• Save the caps: walk (or bike/skateboard/rollerblade/scooter), don’t drive.  Pollution is destroying our ice caps!
• Click it…or ticket.  Saving the world begins within the comfort of your very own vehicle (or someone else’s).
• Buy organic: we all know Veggie Tales wouldn’t be half as cheery and exciting if they were drenched in pesticides.
• Climate control: keep the thermostat set at a balmy, comfortable 72 degrees.
