Senior Chapel: The Final Goodbye

Seniors have the last chapel of the year before graduation.

by Steven Giordano

All the high school gathered in the gym for the final chapel of the 2005-2006 school year.  Being the senior classís last chapel ever at Valley Christian, it was devoted the annual Senior Chapel.

The seniors sat in the chairs set up for them in the middle as everyone else essentially faced them as this was their day.  Steven Busey, Liz Fenwick, Mary Griffith, and John Hopkins spoke words of encouragement, hope, and excitement.  These were directed not only at the graduating seniors, but also to those remaining in the bleachers who still have at least one more year left.

Following these speakers was the dedication of the yearbook commemorating the 2005-2006 school year.  The Hats Off teacher award went to Mr. Falkowski as the whole gym cheered.  Also, the yearbook was dedicated to Mr. and Mrs. Nardi for their many years of service and commitment to what Valley Christian has been accomplishing.

High school has been some of the greatest times of peopleís lives.  Many hope that memories and friendships will last beyond just that miniature chapel time or the graduation ceremony.
