Having the chance to compete against some of the best teams is an athlete’s hope, and defeating them could be the dream. Senior, Kaitlyn Rauschnot has proven her skill by leading the softball team to the number four spot in the state.
Above a 3.0 gpa and as low as a .25 era, Rauschnot has dominated on and off the field. She knows all about getting hitters out and doing her job. She gets ahead of hitters and forces them to get themselves out. She can locate her pitches incredibly and makes herself virtually unbeatable.
Pitching is not the only side of the game for her, as she hits with a .325 batting average. In the end, the bottom line is that Rauschnot can dominate. Being the only second recipient of Athlete of the Week in all of Northern California, it is safe to say Rauschnot has a bright future ahead of her. Rauschnot will lead the Warriors into the postseason, as they secured a 5th seed in Central Coast Section, and a first-round match-up with Menlo-Atherton.
17-6. Rauschnot’s pitching record, one of the best in the section.
