Varsity Tennis Overcomes Adversity in WCAL

by Michael Zamudio

The season has finally ended for the boys varsity tennis team.  Although the team faced much adversity this year, a large amount of growth and accomplishment has come from this group of young men.  Their season concluded with a complete season record of 6-15 and a league record of 2-12.

From the league record it is evident that the boys faced some tough teams throughout the course of the season, but they took the court at the beginning of each new match with pride and fought their hardest to overcome their opponents.

Those who compete in the WCAL understand how difficult it can be defeat some of the other teams in this league.  The boys varsity tennis team, though they were unable to achieve many team victories, had a successful season in the West Catholic league.  Congratulations for this success and all the hard work the team put in to make it happen.
