Dress Code Fashion Show
by Sarah Reinartz

The Valley Christian Dress Code consists of mainly rules and guidelines for the way that the student body should be dressed. Something that the ASB knows all about!

“The ASB team made a pretty good impression on freshmen by having their Dress Code Fashion Show!” said Elizabeth Komar, freshman at Valley. Some students said that it was actually effective toward the way that the students dress, though others believed that it was just a fun skit to start off the school year. Either way, everybody is still required to follow the Dress Code at all times.
Parents at Valley are also impressed with the Dress Code policies. “As long as it is enforced properly,” or even, “They seem to be following the Dress Code pretty well, considering that there are no uniforms,” were some of the comments made by parents.

Most freshmen got a kick out of the ASB’s fashion show. Many comments involved both the humor and the value of the fashion show. Others said things along the lines that the guys wearing girl’s tank tops and skirts were the highlight of the show! “Seeing the guys in bright pink belly shirts and skirts convinced me not to dress like that!” said Kristie Piethe, also a freshmen.

So ladies, next time you go in to put on that mini skirt, or shirt showing you midriff, just remember what the guys looked like when they were wearing it. Or if you guys are thinking about letting your boxers hang out, or wearing unkempt jeans, just remember what the girls looked like letting their boxers hang out under their scruffy, torn up jeans and baggy shirt. Maybe then you’ll think twice about that choice of clothing. Needless to say, everyone who saw the ASB performance will never forget the humorous ideas brought on by the underdressed guys and the revealing ladies.

Students are very thankful to have the extremely supportive ASB team to help the student body along the way this school year. So Valley Christian students, keep up the good work…and the good-looking clothes!
