Tegrity Online
Aide assists students

Do you ever find when you
are doing your homework you cannot remember what the teacher taught?
Students at VCHS have the opportunity to receive the lesson as
many times as needed to benefit their learning.
If you are too sick for school or just can’t remember what
to do, you can be in the class again, online. It is called Tegrity.
Everyday selected teachers record one of their classes and put
them online so students may see the class again at home. For students,
“Its really helpful when you don’t understand something,”
said freshman Sarah Reinartz. Although only a handful of teachers
use Tegrity it is still helpful, as Mrs. Gengl said, “I
love it, it gives students the opportunity to review, and they
have no excuses as to why they do not understand the material.”
With this great learning tool comes an easy access program.
To access Tegrity you need IBM PC or compatible, not a Mac, with
speakers and Internet Explorer. Tegrity does have the downloadable
software if needed. You then go to www.tegrityonline.com/vchs,
click on Log-in and you will need a log-in and a password that
your teacher can provide. Then you click on My Items, uploaded
sessions, High school, then class name, and from there you are
ready to learn. With Tegrity a student has the opportunity to
continue their “Quest for Excellence."
