Athlete Spotlight: Bryan
Dudley
by Heather Heise
Every sport has its star,
whether it is the point guard of the Varsity basketball team,
or the starting quarter back for the football team. Yet, there
are always the athletes who dress out
everyday, are on time, give it their all and maintain a positive
Christ-like attitude: the athletes who don’t make the front-page
but work just as hard as the star running back. This month Valley
Christian high school and the Journalism Team would like to honor
Bryan Dudley as our first Spotlight Athlete.
Brian was nominated by Coach
Machado who stated that, “Bryan gives it his all no matter
what we ask of him, whether it be on or off the field, he is the
ultimate team player. He supports his guys through the worst and
through the best of it, it’s about the team with Bryan,
not about himself.” Bryan exemplifies a Christ like attitude
in all he does and is always willing to put others before himself.
Bryan is highly involved throughout the school; he is Rally Coordinator
on ASB, is involved in Sign Language, has maintained a high GPA
with AP classes, is highly involved in a Men’s Bible Study
and is a good example for all students to follow. Defensive Coordinator
Eric Scharrenberg stated, “Bryan is always ready to do what
we need him to do, may it be to help his teammates or make a block;
he always prepares himself for the task at hand.”
Congratulations Bryan! We wish you the best of luck through out
the season and hope that the Lord continues to bless you as you
make an impact for Him.
