The David Crowder Band brings a fresh new energy to modern worship. Their songs have become instant hits within Christian music radio stations as well as the Christian public. David Crowder attended Baylor University in the small town of Waco, Texas. While attending the university, he realized that a good sum of students did not attend church. In reaction he decided to create University Baptist Church, which is now home to over 1,000 students. He can be seen leading worship there on Sundays. In no time, other churches in Texas heard about his worship band, and sooner or later, the DCB was asked to play at concerts and conferences. DCB has constantly been performing at concerts including the very recent Harvest ’06 in Anaheim, CA. During the summer, DCB also performed at the DCLA conference in the Anaheim Convention Center. Some of their songs include, “Here is Our King,” “O Praise Him,” and “You Alone.” His mix of rock, inspiration, and worship music definitely creates a great sound. The words are very easy to follow, and the music is clean, but doesn’t miss the core of worship music with overpowering sounds, DCB uses electric tones in their music. DCB is definitely a band that will continue to create great worship music.
