Students Love India Project
by Samuel Weisse

Valley’s students have risen to the occasion and have been raising money for the New Delhi Project. So far they have raised 24% ($38,400) of the goal set at $162,000.

Dr. Clifford E. Daugherty said, “We are trying to get our arms around all of the grand and glorious things that are happening at the three campuses (and others) with respect to the tremendous move of God on this India School Project…”

It is truly amazing what is happening around the campuses:
1. VCS Elementary School teachers are making a quilt to auction off for a fund-raiser.
2. Grades K&1 are doing a Quarter Drive to help build corresponding K &1 classrooms.
3. Staff Contributions
4. Kingsway Community Church is contributing funds.
5. At VCHS 26 students have signed up to raise money for themselves to travel to India and an equal amount to contribute when they go.
6. The art students in Mrs. Isaacs’ classes are creating project to help support the school.
7. The water polo teams are doing car washes to help support the school.
8. On Wednesday, 10/11 the Junior High held an offering at chapel and raised $158.78.

In addition to Valley Christian Schools, Dr. Daugherty is working with other schools trying to get them to join with Valley in this effort.
