The freshmen Warriors are improving their skills and work ethics each week and have shown great determination on the field. Coach Donny Fugate inspires the boys to bring all they have to the field and to do their best, win or lose.
Following their loss to West High, the strong motivation of the crowd encouraged the team to beat Riordan. St. Ignatius proved to be no match for Valley Christian’s freshmen football team with a final score of 28-20. Man of the match, freshmen running back, Luke Moreno, scored two touchdowns for his team. The team regrouped after a rough start and defeated St. Ignatius.
The Warriors teamed up against the Padres for a much-anticipated game. The fans were on the edge of their seats as Valley ended the game with a loss, 7-6. The team lost control of the ball several times leaving Valley behind on the scoreboard. The freshmen knew after a tough game against Bellarmine that they have more work to do. Jason Marengo and Michael Karabatsos were both injured during the game and are out for the rest of the season. The boys are refocusing in hopes to pull out a win for their last game.
