The 2006 Junior Varsity Girls Tennis team wrapped up their exciting season. They had a productive season, and made a huge improvement with the help of their coach, Terry Cress, who said, “We gained much needed experience during the season and had a number of excellent victories among our players. The group felt really good about themselves and look forward to a lifetime of athletics and fun.” Although they were not the top team in the league, the girls had a great time together, grew relationships with each other as a whole, and learned new things.
Laura Maxwell said, “From tennis this season, I learned how to be a team player.” The girls were placed in a tough league; among these include Presentation, Archbishop Mitty, Saint Ignatius, etc. Kassy Wagner said, “My favorite thing about tennis this year was competing with the other girls and how the team has gotten so close together.”
Playing in the number one spot was Katherine Sanine, who said, “Playing number one was challenging, but definitely fun.” These girls had an awesome time and tried their best, and are ready to take on Varsity next year.teammates and promote unity. The Warriors are looking ahead to many more victories this season.
