This year, the prayer evangelism classes are very active and on fire for evangelizing! Teachers Ms. Pipkin and Mrs. Nardi lead the classes. This class is a special; it is different from the other Bible classes. Students in Prayer Evangelism class do many outreaches and goes above and beyond. This class organizes the backpack drive, “See You At The Pole”; Assisted Living, and bake sales after school to raise money for the India school.
The class recently visited the Assisted Living and Retirement Home of the Carlton Plaza on Branham. It was a pleasant experience that incorporated student interaction with the senior citizens. There were many outstanding citizens who shared their lives and thoughts with the student. One woman in particular had just celebrated her 109th birthday one week prior to the visit. She is the oldest resident in the home and her birthday was greatly celebrated. She was still able to walk, talk, and recall her childhood. She struck everyone with her physical ability to carry on despite her age.
The Prayer evangelism class encourages the student body to participate in the in the events they hold. Some upcoming outreaches are the Candy for Cancer Patients, Soldier Christmas Bag Drive for he soldiers in Iraq, and the Thanksgiving Food drive for the poor. The Soldiers’ Christmas Bag Drive must be complete by November 10th because it takes two months to get overseas to the soldiers.
