Gas prices in California have dropped recently from about $3.34 a gallon to about $2.24 or so a gallon. But with the colder winter weather coming, prices will drive back up once again, so just be ready. This may affect some students at Valley, but others are fortunate to not have to worry about paying for gas, but that day will come. To get some input on this situation, five students were asked their opinion on this drastic downfall of gas prices.

Amy Walsh:
“I usually spend about $60.00 every 5 days. Now with the gas prices going down I pay $45.00 every 5 days and that’s awesome.”

Nathan Goldsmith:
“About a month ago it used to cost me $50.00. Now when it is time to fill up I only pay about $35.00!”

Rachel Schweiger:
“Well a month ago I would have rather ridden my bike to a friends house, but now with the gas prices lower, I can drive to a friend’s house and stop for ice cream on the way! Therefore cheap gas and ice cream means I’m happy.”

Allison Powers:
“Well, it used to cost me $30.00 and now it costs $25.00. But this situation doesn’t really affect me that much because I get excellent gas mileage in my 2004 Black Honda Civic.”

Tommy Burns:
“ A month ago I was paying $3.12 a gallon, but now I’m paying about $2.42, which is good. I have to pay for my gas and now with cheaper gas it is really helpful for me.”
