The
Castle
Tales, Poems and Legends
by Blake Anderson

Come one, come all
Bring thy poems to this hall
Answer, yon poets, to the call
For epics large and lim’ricks small
A springtime twirling melody
Or autumn’s, if it please thee
A tale of winter silv’ry
Or a soft-sung summer fantasy
Pretty poems of the soft, white
snow
Swept through the sky, where the wind doth blow
A desert sunrise at cockerel’s crow
Or the epic tale of friend and foe
A stanza or two
‘Bout the sky clear blue
An ode to life or love shall do
As the silver trumpet rings proud and true
In other words, lads ‘n’ lassies,
this here is the Castle, where any and all talented writers of Valley
Christian are encouraged to bring poems and short stories for display
in this illustrious forum. Send them all to laserwolf32@yahoo.com.
We await with baited breath the stunning show of Valley’s poetic skill! |

the drive; the neon glow of iPods, cell phones, and even a Pokémon
gameboy, poured out of people's seats and into the aisle.

of the Gulf of Mexico. As winds began to blow, reporters gave horrific
forecasts of what was to come. Hurricane Katrina, a category 4 (intensity
level out of 5), devastated much of the United States along the Gulf
Coast.

Warriors of the Waves
The start of the new season for the Warriors Varsity Water Polo team
has actually been going strong since the beginning of summer. An intense
training regiment filled early mornings and late evenings with long
hours practicing the fundamentals and conditioning. All this work
helped the Water Polo team prepare for another grueling schedule in
the West Catholic League. Senior Andrew Kikuta and
Junior Jonathan Langdon are this year's team captains.
