Resolution Update

by Victoria Bergland

Once the clock struck midnight changing the year from 2006 to 2007, a number of people made the decision to commit to a “New Year’s Resolution.” From not eating chocolate for a year, to going to bed by 11pm each night for the year, the decisions were personal as well as unique. The first few days, or even weeks were awesome, and most people were able to last. At this point, over a month later, it is interesting to see how many people have held to their commitments. Honestly, a lot of people have not been able to make it this far, while there are still many holding strong. Below are a few examples of people who have dedicated to do or not do something and been able to keep with it.

Freshman Jennifer Mudd-Walker:
“My New Year’s resolution was to do 200 crunches every night. So far since then, I have completed my goal every night!”

Junior Matt Carroll:
“Do my Chemistry homework before each class completely. So far, I’ve done it, and not missed one assignment. Wait, actually, I have to go because I haven’t finished tonight’s homework yet and I have it next class!”

Senior Kayla Berry:
“My resolution was to not drink soda for a whole year. I haven’t had one sip of one since New Year’s!”

Congratulations to all those who have been able to go through with their New Year’s Resolutions; we support you and your strength to continue until next year!
