Valley's Opportunity to Show Christ's Love in New Delhi
by Samuel Weisse

"To Whom Much Is Given Much Is Required" Luke 12:48 b

As the students of Valley Christian School know, they are part of a mission to aid Grace Public School in New Delhi, India. Pastor Abraham Philips is the head of the school. He asked Valley to help him in his efforts to educate the kids in New Delhi. VCS superintendent, Dr. Clifford Daugherty asked students to consider helping the school and challenged students to help raise money for its construction. Grace Public School was forced to close because they did not meet the fire regulations of New Delhi's fire laws. Their single door was not enough to provide a safe escape in case of a fire. Since the closing of the school, Pastor Philips has been able to buy a new plot of land. Now they need the resources to construct and furnish the new school.

Their Dream:
• 10,000 square feet, 3 story building
• Classrooms for K to 12th grade
• Tables, chairs, desks, computers, blackboards, cabinets, and Internet
At $15 per square foot to build the school, the sale of three coupon booklets pays for two square feet of school construction. (If you decide to sell the coupon booklets only half of the twenty dollars you receive goes to Grace Public Schools, the other half goes back to the fund-raiser company.)

They need:
• $150,000 to build the school
• $50,000 for furniture
• $40,000 teachers salaries for one year
If students do not want to sell coupon books, they can support the school through prayer or even donate money. Thanks to all those who have been giving so far, $32,750 in gifts and pledges have been raised.
