LeeThis year, Valley
Christian is privileged to have
some additions to the teaching
staff. These five teachers,
Scott Homer, Jordan
Klebig, Ninos Malek,
Laura Scott, and Cindy
Torode, are the new faces
that can be seen on the VC
campus (be sure to welcome
them). Mr. Homer, the new
director of orchestra and
strings teacher, has actually
been praying to teach in a
Christian environment for some
time. When the opportunity came,
he immediately took the job. He
is now happy to have the job and
contribute his knowledge. Ms.
Klebig is a freshmen and junior
English teacher. She is a young,
but she definitely brings much
knowledge to the program.
Although Ms. Klebig is new, she
is already known for her
kindness and understanding. She
is always willing to work with
her students. Mr. Malek teaches
Government and AP Micro
Economics. Malek is a returning
teacher to VCHS. He taught at
Valley back in April of 1998 to
June of 2003, when he decided to
go back to school to get his
PhD. He decided to come back to
the area, where the opportunity
of teaching presented itself
again. Mr. Malek is now back at
Valley and "ready to meet new
people." With his degree in
Economics, he is looking forward
to sharing his studies with the
students.
After being the girls varsity
water polo coach last year, Ms.
Scott is now the Algebra II and
Geometry teacher. She lightens
up her classes with her "That's
fantastic!" phrase. She will
soon be married, in October, to
a professional soccer player.
She found the perfect
opportunity to teach regularly
at Valley after being a
substitute. Mrs. Torode brings
her expertise as a new Photo 1
teacher to Valley. Though
reasons why she chose to work at
Valley Christian may seem
obvious, when asked she just
simply smiled and replied, "Is
there any other school?" Mrs.
Torode loves working with and
teaching students as well as
sharing her love for
photography.
