Many of the great athletes focus solely on making themselves better players, but
Kim Hatcher has found a way to help out her teammates as well as perform at her best. As the ASB Public Relations Officer, she tries to find ways to help out anywhere possible. She takes extra training before practice begins, but also helps out other players with their own training. Ever since sophomore year, she has been helping the varsity volleyball team.
Unfortunately, last year Hatcher was faced with two injuries that set her out for most of her season. She suffered a back injury, then a sprained ankle. Sidelined, she still provided her team with humor and leadership.
"She's a renaissance woman, because she is always successful in everything she does," said teammate Jenn Elias. A captain and a scholar athlete, the team looks up to Hatcher as a strong leader.
