As the 2006-2007
school year begins we have a new
freshmen class here to join the
Valley Christian High School
family. As most of us know the
freshmen advice column usually
comes out in the first issue of
the schools newspaper. As an
experienced senior I have seen
the "Ins and Outs" of high
school here. Some things I have
found are: Be sure to stay away
from the senior line/parking
lot/seating section. It isn't
where you should find yourself.
Be sure to treat your freshmen
mentor the way you would want to
be treated when you get the
chance to give back to the
freshmen class your senior year.
If you have any further
questions concerning this issue
be sure to consult The "D."
Here at Valley Christian High
School the student body is
allowed to wear sandals as
shoes. So in order to avoid
getting blisters on your feet,
be sure to wear knee socks with
them. Even though sandals are
allowed, be sure to pick up a
pair of Heelies. Heelies are
great they help you get around
campus quickly without breaking
the no run policy stated in the
student handbook.
Using a locker is never a good
idea. It wastes valuable time
during passing period. The best
way to stay prepared for class,
but always on the go, would to
be carrying all your books in
your backpack. For this reason
alone a backpack equipped with
wheels that light up would be
best for your back, and light
the path in front of you. A hot
after-school hang out is the
library; it's cool in there.
They have a fresh copy of the
daily newspaper always on hand.
A lot of book reading and
socializing goes on in there. If
you have anything you want to
type or just type with friends,
this would be the ideal place to
do it.
If there is one piece of
information you take out of this
article, I would want it to be,
make the best of your high
school career. It passes by very
fast and the memories you have
in high school, you will
remember for the rest of your
life. So get involved in your
school, get involved in your
class. Be sure to make friends
and be sure to make the most of
your high school experience.
