Mrs. Cindy Torode, the lovely teacher of the Photography 1 class, has been happily teaching for 14 years in all; She came to Valley in the fall of 2006.

Before coming to Valley, and even before her teaching career, Torode was an energetic and fun cheerleader. She always knew she wanted to be a teacher though, staying after class and asking for more books was a giveaway for that. Torode did her teacher training and became a Preschool teacher. She taught there until, with Mr. Stephen Torode’s encouragement, she came to Valley. Torode is very energetic in the classroom and out in the halls; saying hi to her students, she is just one of those teachers who everyone loves. Her class is also one that her students look forward to because of the relaxation in the room, and the great atmosphere around them.

But one thing that makes her truly happy, besides her wonderful photo students, is her husband, Steve, and her 3 children, all of whom go to Valley. She met Mr. Torode in high school, and they dated for 5 years before they tied the knot.

Mrs. Torode enjoys going to the movies and seeing chick flicks because she loves watching other people’s drama on TV rather than having drama in her own life. She loves her students and is a fun teacher; one everyone can talk to. Also, in her free time she makes scrap books, which she loves to do, and listens to many Christian rock artists. Her favorite artist is Sarah Groves. Seeing as her schedule is always full, having a vacation when the time is given with the family is always great!

Torode absolutely loves taking pictures, which is pretty fitting for being a photo teacher. Once that camera is in her hands, she will take pictures of everyone and everything, including people she doesn’t know. Camera in hand, you will see her at events snapping away, making memories to keep for a lifetime.
