Valley Christian is now the happiest place on earth. This week the halls underwent a transformation and became a magical wonderland. The halls twinkled with the senior’s trip to Neverland, and the juniors took students on an underwater adventure. Sophomores told the heart-wrenching story of Beauty and the Beast, while freshmen took a trip to ancient China with Mulan.
All of the students enjoyed Spirit Week and found ways to let their creativity shine.
Monday was Twin Day, and students, dressed just alike graced the halls, making it hard for people to tell who was who. There were celebrities in the halls like Mary Kate and Ashley as well as students dressed in
their favorite sporting outfits and polka dots. Outfits varied from tutus to leopard skin. Everyone was thrilled to participate, and students found themselves ready to spread their spirit for the next day.
On Tuesday students could have been confused with runway models as they strutted for fashion/GQ day. It was a dazzling day full of lights and cameras. In addition to all of the high fashion was the Homecoming chapel. For the freshman couple, Amber Coney and Andrew Luu were the first to walk into the homecoming chapel. Rachel Nydam and Phillip Thrappas were the couple for the sophomores. The junior couple was Anna Calderon and Christian deLeon. The seniors were looking especially stylish as Tessa Furtado, Faith Kriewall, and Rachel Schweiger represented the senior girls, and Chris Faulkner, Gregg Cates, and Mike Hill represented the senior boys.
The middle of the week allowed students to show off their Bay Area pride by wearing a variety outfits suitable for the 408. Grills were blinding as students smiled and low hanging chains were all over. It was a good day to be proud of the bay.
Thursday allowed for students to be as lazy as possible. It was difficult to not fall asleep with all of the pillows and stuffed animals that were seen in classrooms. What better way to get ready for the weekend than a day of rest?
Today is theme day, and nothing could have been more hilarious. Tinkerbells and Peter Pans pranced among us while Mulan clones gave students laughter. Mermen and Mermaids swam under the sea while beasts searched for their love, Belle.
Overall spirit week gave students at Valley a reason to show their wild and crazy creative side and everyone loved it.
